LSU Shreveport Center for Medical Education and Wellness
LSU Shreveport Center for Medical Education and Wellness is a 150,000 sq. ft. building that will provide the campus with health and wellness facilities, clinical skills and simulation labs, academic learning environments, dining, student meeting and study spaces, and an Emerging Viral Threats (EVT) Lab. The iconic design will provide a gateway arrival point and become the heart of the campus, connecting the Schools of Medicine, Allied Health, and Graduate Studies into a unified campus. The transparency and flexibility of interior design will provide medical education on display and interprofessional collaboration between faculty and students. Once complete the project will provide an inviting, active student building that will enhance recruitment and retention of students and faculty.
