The 150,000 square foot School of Coast (previously named Wetlands Resources and Environmental Sciences Facility) on the main campus of Louisiana State University houses multiple research units that bring together an interdisciplinary faculty and researchers of national and international stature from the eleven institutes that make up the School of the Coast and Environment Department.
This department is global leader in wetland and environmental research and the management of coastal resources. The building, designed in the Italian Renaissance Style adopted by LSU, allows multidisciplinary, collaborative research to be conducted by faculty and graduate students and will anchor several new projects being built on the South end of the campus.
