McKinley Middle Magnet School of Visual & Performing Arts is a 120,000 square foot educational complex designed for the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board.
This 850-student facility includes a 1000-seat auditorium, performing arts studios (dance, drama, choir, and band), library media center with adjacent computer labs and gymnasium.
The new school was a cooperative endeavor agreement between the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board and BREC (Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge) allowing for the school’s amenities to be used by the neighborhood during off hours, while still maintaining safety and security for students within the complex.
