Coleman Partners Architects is currently designing the new College of Business at Southern University. In today's rapidly changing business world, the building is designed to provide students with the necessary tools to succeed. The student-centered design includes a variety of learning spaces, ranging from traditional classrooms and auditoriums to collaborative group rooms equipped with the latest technology. The open and flexible layout encourages interaction among faculty, staff, students, and alumni who share a common goal.
The three-story, 84,380-square-foot building will stand at the end of a pedestrian-focused street on the campus, using a combination of sturdy materials like precast wall panels and Southern University blonde brick, as well as elegant materials such as curtain wall systems and sleek metal panels. The central atrium will feature natural light and transparency to connect the building with the campus. Outside, the landscaping will provide spaces for gathering and learning among students, faculty, and staff.
