The Riffort Renaissance Curacao is a mixed-use development that combines approximately 450,000 square feet of new construction with the historic Riffort, or “Reef Fort”, built at the entrance to the natural harbor of Curacao in 1849. The project consists of a 250-room renaissance hotel that is combined with retail shopping, a casino, a six-plex cinema, offices, and a 600-car structured parking garage. The project is located in Willemstad, Curacao, and sits on the Caribbean at the entrance to the natural harbor of Curacao.
Coleman Partners Architects provided interior design services for the 235 key Renaissance Curacao Resort. In addition to all Guestrooms and Suites, we also provided interior design for the lobby, restaurant, lobby bar, executive lounge, and meeting spaces. The lobby incorporates the Marriott’s “Great Room” concept with bright primary colors native to Curacao, which are used throughout the hotel. An “artist showroom gallery” concept is also used throughout the public spaces where prominent pieces of glass and other art works are displayed throughout. Coleman Partners also participated in a subsequent interior renovation project to refresh the lobby, dining, casino, and other public areas. There renovations were completed in 2019.
